We took the train to the villiage just south east of us, Corniglia. The trail begins with almost 400 stairs up to the center of the city.
We discovered yet another quaint villiage that makes up Cinque Terre. People have been living here since the dark ages, and you can't help but wonder what has changed and what has remained the same.
We bought our Cinque Terre cards and hiked back to Vernazza. The hike was a little easier than the day before, but still took us 90 minutes. We have truly enjoyed exploring this area. It has been a trip back in time.
Love the fresh faced Fred in that last photo! Must have bought a razor or Brady is getting hairy and we just can't see :o)
ReplyDeleteWhich of the 5 lands is your favorite? Can't wait to hear about all of it. Looks like the adventure you had hoped for.
Dad, Ruby, Elle and I just looked through your whole blog. Dad loves a lot of the pics. The girls are most impressed with the gelato photos. looks like an amazing trip so far.
