The West (Day 7)- Yellowstone Bear World and Rose Hill Cemetery

Our morning started at Yellowstone Bear World, just thirty minutes away from Idaho Falls.

Yellowstone Bear World is a drive-thru wildlife park whose mission is to "motivate and increase public awareness in the management of natural resources for conservation, education scientific and recreational purposes."
We saw deer, bison, elk, mountain goats and bears.

There are two parts to the park, there is the part where you can have your windows down, and the part where you can't.
We are in the second part now.

The bears seem happy enough.

We better not bother them.

Practicing for her driver's test...

Oh my goodness.

We will have to save the amusement park (included in the price of the ticket) for a different time.

This is the first time I have ever experienced a wildlife drive-thru (I am pretty sure they would be banned in California).
Sometimes traveling out of state reminds me of traveling out of country, it is every person for themselves.  Maybe you will make it out of the park, maybe you won't.

A1 is turnt up after such an adventure.

We ended the evening biking through Tautphaus Park and the cemetery in search of shade (something Idaho has a lot of).

  1. OMG those two videos are incredible. I absolutely loved the shhhh! scene. That A1 is hysterical. And how fun for you to see bears um, well, making baby bears. What a treasure for you all.

As for the drive through animal park, you missed Lion Country Safari in SoCal. Look at this great blog about it. https://www.yesterland.com/lioncountry.html We went when we were little.

Keep having fun and sharing. I'm loving this trip with you babe.
