Point of Rocks RV Campground is just a ten minute walk to Watson Lake. Watson Lake is a hundred plus year old reservoir, one of two in the Granite Dells, an area where granite boulders have eroded into unusual formations.
Since it is a reservoir it means no swimming. But you can hike, fish, kayak, and take a million pictures.
The lake is just as beautiful as I was picturing!
It is unbelievable how many dragonflies there are on this hike, of all sizes and colors.
Steep or steeper, so many great options...
Just to make sure no one slipped we decided on "steep".
We have precious cargo!
We found the source of the plethora of dragonflies, there is a riparian reserve below the dam, where the excess water lets out.
There is so much to look at, you point at one thing and look at something else.
This is what happens when a baby has a nature overload, especially with such a nature gap!
This is A1 relaxing. She just has two switches, on and off.
Ants are fascinating, she can't be faulted.
Since our baby loves adventures, before settling in for the evening, we went on a little bike ride, just a short ride from the campground.
We are really enjoying our time in Prescott, and our stay at Point of Rocks Campground.
Oh my gosh, you guys are on the most amazing adventure. I absolutely love this post. That image with A1 looking one way and pointing at another made me laugh out loud. What spectacular setting for an explore. You will have the best adventure. I am going to use this as a future guide. So fun.
