Oceanside Big Beer

I decided a few weeks ago that I/we was/are having an Oceanside Big Year.  So then I thought, okay, why not have an Oceanside Big Beer?  This is a personal challenge to see how many different beers  you can identify in a single calendar year.

We started with our favorite from last year at Belching Beaver, Orange Vanilla IPA.  But, uh oh, it was not recognizable.  It wasn't the same beer that we remembered from last year, when you could recognize the specific flavors of IPA, orange and vanilla.  We weren't the biggest fans.  But it is a decent IPA.

Eric is just as excited about the Big Beer as the Big Year...
Let's face it.  Alcohol is a depressant.  Birds on the other hand...

We also tried Thizz is What it is and Good Morning Beautiful.
We are more of a fan of the name than anything else but Belching Beaver remains our top choice in the area.

  1. Oh man, love the idea. I would like a Wine Big Year!!!

AS for B.B. I've been to their place in Vista. They are kicking butt. I loved this from their website:
Belching Beaver Brewery came from a desire to make great beer and have a Dam good time doing it. When we started the company we wanted to do two things: First, have a brand that offered quality craft beer but was whimsical and fun to inspire good times. From the Winking Milkman to El Castor de Mariachi you can see each Beaver has its own individual style and personality. Second, we wanted to make beer for everyone and all palates. We have easy-drinking Blondes, Triple IPAs, Milk Stouts, Imperials Stouts as well as sours and barrel-aged beers. You name it, we have it! Good times to you my friend, and welcome to the Beaver family!

    Dam fun times for all,
    Me
