2,000+miles+baby. Day 6. Tautphaus Park, Idaho Falls.

We awoke to light snow today.  This was the first time delicate snow flakes have touched her precious little bald head.
Needless to say, she loved it.

FYI This says light snow...

Since Idaho Falls is in Mormon Country just about everything is closed on Sunday (this is something you really have to plan for... no Reed's Dairy for one thing), so we spent the day at the house and walked over to Tautphaus Park once again, this time to check out the outdoor skating ribbon.

Right next to the indoor ice arena is a free ice skate loop, open for the season only, of course.  They just opened it up a few years ago.  You can rent skates in the ice arena and then head outside.  There is a viewing area with stadium seating for people not partaking (in this case probably a pregnant someone watching her ten kids skate).
It looks like so much fun!
I guess that is the nice thing about living in Mormon Country, it is full of family friendly fun.

We love the cold, and our little one is adjusting.  She lets out a sound when we take her outside, like has been patted on her back unexpectedly, but she does her eyes-closed-shut-down thing and is nice and cozy snuggled up to her mommy.

  1. Okay, my favorite photo is the sweet sleeper all bundled up. What a fabulous traveler you have created. It is such a fun thing to do with kids! Way cool.

What an adventure. Thanks for sharing it.
