The Great American Road Trip. Day 24. ID-NV.

Today is our last day in Idaho Falls, but I think if our lovely little baby knew this she would not be so happy.  She sure loves her aunt!

It is time to play the game, Dog Toy or Baby Toy?, brought to you by our daughter.  Maybe the game should really be, What Would a Baby Rather Play With?
(The answer is dog toys.)

Uncle Josh will have to wait awhile before this baby starts to appreciate his antics.

A few hours after being on the road, we stopped at Hansen Bridge, a 350 foot bridge that spans over the Snake River.  This concrete bridge was built in 1966, and replaced the 325 foot suspension bridge built in 1919.  It really makes you think about the thoughtless, possibly unwarrented, trust you put into the bridges that your app instructs you to cross.

These sheer cliffs are beautiful, and are a good reason the Oregon Trail stayed south of the Snake River.  I would have liked to see the face of whomever was in the lead covered wagon as he encountered this obstacle. "Umm, everyone hold your horses.  Alright, now put them in reverse..."

I thought this was cool, whatever this is.

We were being chased by storms but never really passed through anything.

We drove as far as we could and then finally made a rest stop our home for the evening.  This is the first time I have ever stayed in a rest stop.  Eric warned me they can be loud but he didn't warn me about how bright they are!  We definitely need some black out curtains. It is nice to camp for free though!  The baby doesn't care where she is, as long as we stop driving.
