Greengrass Music

Marla, Elle, Ruby (who was very excited about listening to greengrass music), and I met in Temecula to attend the Bluegrass Festival.  It has been so long since the last time I have been that I didn't even remember that I had been before.  We started with an outdoor venue, and in direct sunlight 90°+ weather was keeping people from enjoying the Salty Sweets, a young, fun, talented band.

Greengrass entertainment.

I am not sure what this song is called but I am naming it Do Re Mi Beer.

We learned that the theater, which was hosting bands simultaneously, was free to the public so we decided to escape the heat and get a seat inside.

It was a good thing we did because James King's Three Cords and the Truth was up for a Grammy nomination this year and not only did we enjoy his music, I bought a CD and got his autograph.
He was absolutely raving about how much he loves the city of Temecula.  He said it is so perfect it seems like the set from the movie the Truman Show.  Temeculites in the audience proudly applauded.

Good old Old Town Temecula; it is always good for a good time.

  1. What an incredible way to spend a Sunday. It looks idyllic. Were you totally motivated to get out your banjo and strum along???

The girls look like they loved the day. Gorgeous photos and I love the embedded clips... almost like we are there.

Thanks for sharing... a former Temeculite.
