SubarUs Eight: Bend to Boise

Sweetheart donuts was our last stop in Bend before leaving for Boise, the most populous city in all of Idaho.

They specialize in peanut butter cream filled donuts and raspberry fritters.  (Un)fortunately we didn't try them all, but enjoyed those that we did eat.

The highway to Boise doesn't have a lot of variety (or snow), but it is pretty nonetheless.

There must be a decimal missing.

Five hours later we arrived in Boise.
Construction started on the Idaho State Capitol Building 1905, fifteen years after Idaho became a state.

I believe in the South they call these men good ol' boys...

There are underground tunnels that connect the Capitol Building to the Supreme Court building, along with other government buildings, that are used daily by government employees, and are not open to the public.

Next on the Boise tour, per Raya and Josh's suggestion, is the Payette Brewing Company.
The company is named after François Payette, a French Canadian trapper who became an early explorer of the US interior, and the Snake River, in the early 1800s.

Some of our favorites are One in the Chamber and Blood Orange Rustler.

Idaho celebrates and honors the second amendment because why not.

Who wouldn't like to go to this LIBRARY!?
So exciting.

Our last stop, another Steele suggestion, was Fork.  We couldn't have come on a better day, Tuesdays are fried chicken and waffle day (while supplies last, according to the menu).  Eric highly recommends them.
