The West (Day 17)- Twilight Eagle Sanctuary

One mile from our house is Twilight Eagle Sanctuary.
It is nothing more than a deck to view Cathlamet Bay in the Columbia River, with some informational placards posted.

Although we didn't see any eagles, I am not about to give this place a poor review.
It isn't a zoo, it is just a place in the outdoors that tends to have more bald eagles than other places.
People have very high expectations, I guess.

Right now it has a lot of Canada geese.

Geese are fun too.  They aren't as majestic, but A1 doesn't care.
She likes anything that moves.

We will be on the lookout for our national emblem.
We have nothing but time.
Time, three pairs of eyes, and high hopes.

  1. An eagle sighting is a pretty special event. When we were in Alaska, it became so common that we got lackadaisical about it. Look for golf balls in the trees if it's bald eagles you're searching for. Keep having fun.
