Ghent, Belgium

Ghent is great. I had such a hard time booking a nice place because the Festival of Ghent began the day after our arrival but my persistence eventually paid off. I found the perfect B&B with a balcony in the middle of historic Ghent (Faja Lobi Central).

Faja Lobi has a cafe downstairs that has delicious vegetarian food (among a list of dishes) for little euro.

They also have delicious DESSERT!

The first day we were there we had nice weather (almost no rain) so we took advantage of it.

We stopped at a fries place for a snack.
Just like solo ladies will stop by a gelateria by themselves in Italy, they will do the same at a frieten shop in Belgium. The lady behind Fred got the same size fry that we shared, but ate them all herself!

  1. Does anyone else see the hypocrisy of the mound of fries drowning in a sea of mayo with a Coca Cola Zero! Hysterical!

The town is beautiful and your B & B looks perfect. Well done travel YODA.
